Texas Tech swept the mid-week two game series against Texas Southern on Tuesday and Wednesday, by scores of 14-2 and 15-0. Micah Dallas (1-1) got the win on Tuesday, going five innings and striking out eight while giving up only two hits, bouncing back after a rough outing against Ole Miss from opening weekend. Dylan Neuse and Jace Jung each had four RBIs, while Kurt Wilson also had a good day driving in two runs respectively.
On Wednesday, freshman Chase Hampton (1-0) picked up the win in a platoon style game on the bump for the Red Raiders that only lasted seven innings due to a run rule situation.
