Kirby Hocutt knows exactly what he wants from new Texas Tech football coach Matt Wells.
He's seen it.
During the second quarter of Utah State's 52-13 demolition of North Texas in the New Mexico Bowl two months ago, the Tech athletic director called his new hire, raving about the team that Wells just left.
"I want some of that ... that physicality," a pumped-up Hocutt told Wells on the phone.
At the Dallas Country Club on Wednesday, Wells, 45, did his best to expand upon that vision in front of a group of Tech fans and donors.
