Jada Terry doesn’t know much about the rivalry between Texas Tech and Texas A&M — even though she has played for both teams.
And Lady Raiders coach Candi Whitaker’s biggest memory from her playing days at Tech was their plane breaking down after a win over the Aggies.
But, both are hoping that rivalry starts anew Thursday when Terry, a transfer from A&M, faces her former team and Texas Tech visits College Station to take on 24th-ranked Aggies at 7 p.m. at Reed Arena.
“My A&M memory is that we went there and we won, but our plane broke and we had to bus home,” Whitaker said.
