Texas Tech is putting up a lot of crooked numbers this season.
And not just on the scoreboard.
Going into the NCAA Lubbock Regional this weekend, the Red Raiders already have 43 wins, are ranked No. 5 in the country and finished first in the Big 12, sharing the title with TCU after posting 16 conference wins.
Texas Tech is more than the sum of its numbers this season, though. It has battled through injuries to its ace and leading hitter from last year’s team — pitcher Davis Martin and center fielder Tanner Gardner — that advanced to the College World Series for the second time in three years.
