Kris Williams tends to have an optimistic nature, a positive outlook that’s come in handy during his first three years at Texas Tech.
For most of that time, he wasn’t in position to play much, and not at all after he suffered a torn ACL in August 2013.
Now Williams can see some reward. He begins preseason practice running with the first team at linebacker, a shot at a starting job there for the taking.
“It’s an opportunity I’ve been waiting for since I’ve been here,” said Williams, a 6-foot-1, 230-pound junior from Dallas Bryan Adams.
