Here are five takeaways from Texas Tech's media availability on Tuesday.
1. Dakota Allen may miss senior night
After not making it through the first quarter of Texas Tech's loss to Oklahoma with a knee injury, senior linebacker Dakota Allen's status is uncertain for Saturday's game against Texas. Allen also is dealing with a broken hand.
"He's day-to-day," Kingsbury said. "That's the best I can give. We probably won't know until Saturday if he can go."
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury noted that junior linebacker Brayden Stringer may play this week in place of Allen. Stringer has played in three games this season and can play in only one more to still redshirt this season.
