1. McLane Carter exits early, replaced by freshman QB Alan Bowman
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury took right up until the Red Raiders' season opener to reveal his starting quarterback.
Leading up to the season opener it appeared the race for starting quarterback was between junior McLane Carter and sophomore Jett Duffey.
All along, he maintained it was a three-horse race between Carter, Duffey and freshman Alan Bowman.
