5 breakout candidates for Texas Tech in 2018: Is T.J. Vasher primed to be the Red Raiders' new No. 1 receiver?

Texas Tech will go through a transitional season in 2018. The Red Raiders went 6-7 last season and lost multiple key contributors. Multiple players will have to step up and replace them.

Here are 5 players who could have breakout seasons.

1. T.J. Vasher, Sophomore, WR

The Red Raiders will need a wide receiver to step up with the departures of Keke Coutee and Dylan Cantrell. On the surface, sophomore T.J. Vasher appears to be the wideout most primed for a breakout season. In his freshman campaign, Vasher caught 29 passes for 545 yards and six touchdowns.
