Over the past week, the 2019 Texas Tech football recruiting class has quadrupled in size helping to quell fears and decrease complaints from a restless fan base that had seen no progress on the recruiting front for close to 300 days. However, there was still one critical hole in the class, quarterback.
That is no longer the case after three-star San Angelo, Texas quarterback Maverick McIvor committed to the Red Raiders Monday. The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder is the No. 18 dual-threat quarterback in the nation and No. 88 overall player in Texas according to 247sports.com.
McIvor was in Lubbock two weekends ago for an official visit but did not commit to the Red Raiders as he weighed his options.
