1. Return of the King
Texas Tech might have taken a risk hiring a 33-year-old offensive coordinator to lead its football program back in December of 2012, but Kingsbury had the deep ties to the university it sorely needed after Tommy Tuberville bolted unexpectedly for Cincinnati after only three seasons. Kingsbury played for the Red Raiders from 1998-2002, ending his tenure in Lubbock with 12,423 yards passing and 95 touchdowns in 43 games played.
