You Can’t Teach That: Volleyball uses weekend tilt to teach the unteachable

SAN MARCOS, TX — For as many digging, serving, and setting drills a volleyball coaching staff can conduct during offseason training sessions, there are just as many regular-season attributes a staff can't teach on a 59 x 29.5 foot court.

For Texas State volleyball head coach Sean Huiet and his coaching staff, there was a simple solution to this dilemma. And it runs through San Marcos: Interstate 35.

Just a 30-minute drive up I-35, Austin is home to a nationally ranked volleyball program. And 30 minutes to the south of San Marcos, San Antonio has a Division I volleyball program, too, in UTSA.
