SAN MARCOS, Texas – For the third time this season and second time in as many weeks, Texas State's Sedrickia Wynn and Dominick Yancy were named Sun Belt Conference Track Athletes of the Week for the period ending February 12, the conference office announced.
At the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. last weekend, Yancy broke the school record in the men's indoor 400 meter by running 46.41. He owned the previous record of 46.48, which he set on Jan. 20 earlier this season at the Red Raider Open in Lubbock.
The 400 meter record was not the only top mark in school history that Yancy was a part of as he and the men's 4x400 relay team ran a school-best 3:06.
