SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Sedrickia Wynn qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the first time in her career and set two school records on Saturday to highlight the final day of the 2023 NCAA West Prelims for Texas State at Hornet Stadium.
Wynn ran 13.16 in the women's 100 meter hurdles and finished 12th to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Austin in two weeks. The redshirt senior's time was fourth-fastest in school history and made her the first Bobcat to qualify for the event since Olympian Brigitte Foster-Hylton in 1998.
Texas State will send three to the national championships as Wynn will be joined by freshmen Chris Preddie (men's long jump) and Elisabet Runarsdottir (women's hammer throw).
