BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the first time since 2019, the Texas State women's track and field team won the Sun Belt Conference Championships after totaling 108 points throughout the two days of competition.
The men's team finished third with 97.5 points, which is its best finish since 2022 when they placed second overall.
The Bobcats had a dominant performance in both the women's and men's shot put. In the women's shot put, Melanie Duron set the TXST, SBC, and SBC meet records during her first-place performance. Duron recorded a mark of 18.
