Women's Tennis Win Four Matches At Rice Invitational On Sunday

HOUSTON- The Texas State women's tennis team won four matches on the final day at the Rice Invitational at the George R. Brown Tennis Center on Sunday, Sept. 24.

Rishona Israel-Lewis and Julia Navajo-Melendez posted a pair of victories in straight sets during the consolation finals of their flights. In addition, Andrea Fuchs and Flavia Gutierrez-Balcazar won another pair of added matches when their original scheduled matches were not played.

Navajo-Melendez shut out Amber Policare of Kansas by a score of 6-0, 6-0, while Israel-Lewis also won her match against Klara Mrclela of UTA in straight sets by a score of 6-4, 6-2.
