SAN MARCOS, Texas – Playing in a match for the second straight day, the Texas State women's tennis team posted a pair of victories in singles matches on Saturday afternoon when the Bobcats suffered a 5-2 loss against Northwestern State at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
Ana Perez posted Texas State's first victory when she won a straight-set decision against Emilija Dancetovic in a No. 4 singles match. Perez won the first set 7-6 after claiming the tiebreaker by a score of 8-6. She also captured the second set by a score of 6-3.
