SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State women's tennis team dropped a 4-2 decision against Northwestern State in a match that was played inside the Bobcats Indoor Tennis Courts Sunday afternoon.
Texas State jumped out to an early 2-0 lead when the Bobcats began the day winning the top two seeded singles matches.
Ana Perez knocked off No. 114-ranked Maria Skybia in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1 in the top-seeded match. Rishona Israel-Lewis posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Polina Mutel in the No. 2 match.
Northwestern State came back to win the next three matches.
