SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State soccer team was recognized on Thursday for its exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2015-16 academic year by earning the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award.
To be considered for the award, teams must have a composite grade point average of at least 3.0 for all players on the roster for the fall season.
Along with the Bobcats, seven other Sun Belt Conference programs also received the award.
Texas State hosts Arkansas State this Sunday at the Bobcat Soccer Complex with kickoff slated for 12 p.
