SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State University women's golf team continues its spring season on Monday and Tuesday (March 27-28) as the Bobcats travel to Houston to compete in the Houston Baptist-hosted Husky Invitational.
THE COURSE: The 18-hole Riverbend Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas, was originally designed by Press Maxwell Jr. in 1957. In 2010 notable golf course architect Jeff Blume added his touches during the $1.4 million renovation. Blume's additions to the course included additional bunkers and rolling fairways as well as completely redesigning several greens complexes and installing Bermuda Mini-Verde to insure consistent and speedy average greens speeds.
