SAN MARCOS, Texas – After the first victory over Little Rock since early 2014 on Thursday evening, the Texas State women's basketball has another tough test Saturday afternoon with a match-up against first-place Arkansas State. Tip-off against the Red Wolves, the only undefeated team in conference play, is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Strahan Coliseum.
The Bobcats enter the contest with a 9-7 overall record and 4-2 mark in Sun Belt Conference play, well enough for fourth place in the 11-team league.
Texas State's victory over Little Rock Thursday night was a memorable one as senior guard Ayriel Anderson scored her 1,000th career point in the fourth quarter.
