SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball team saw its six-game winning streak come to an end Saturday evening with an 80-55 loss to Louisiana in front of a crowd of 3,222 in Strahan Coliseum.
With the loss, the Bobcats drop to 13-8 overall and 6-2 in the Sun Belt Conference while the Ragin' Cajuns are now 17-3 on the season and 7-0 in conference play.
Both teams started off slow offensively in the first seven minutes going a combined 4-for-23 from the field. UL jumped out to a 5-0 advantage but TXST pulled to within one after a layup by Shelby Adams with 13:07 on the clock.
