FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Alyssa Wilson punched two tickets to the NCAA outdoor championships and Sedrickia Wynn moved on to the quarterfinals later this week to highlight Texas State's second day at the 2022 NCAA West Preliminaries at John McDonnell Field.
Wilson became the first Bobcat in seven years to qualify for two events at the NCAA outdoor championships with her performances in the hammer throw and shot put. She also became the first Texas State athlete ever to qualify in the women's hammer as she threw 72.85 meters/239 feet-0 inches in her first attempt to punch the ticket to Eugene.
