FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Alyssa Wilson became the only athlete in the country to qualify for the women's discus, shot put and hammer at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Championships after the graduate student advanced out of the discus in the NCAA West Preliminaries at John McDonnell Stadium with the second-best throw in program history.
Wilson threw 57.37 meters/188 feet-2 inches in the discus to finish third in the field of 48 and be among the top-12 advancing to Eugene, Ore. The appearance in the discus will be Wilson's fourth of her career, and she will compete in three events for the third time.
