BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – With a school record-setting throwing in her final attempt, Texas State's Alyssa Wilson cemented her status as an All-American in the weight throw on Friday at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Championships as the senior put up a 22.84m (74'-11.25") throw to finish sixth among the 16 competitors.
For the ninth time in her highly decorated career, Wilson earned First Team All-American honors with the top-six finish. It is her best finish in the weight throw at the NCAAs, beating out her ninth-place finish (20.98m) in the 2019 edition while with UCLA.
