Wow! What a weekend for Bobcat Athletics! Bobcat fans had an opportunity to watch a historic performance in an NCAA Tournament, be introduced to our new football coach, watch the men's basketball team win a hard-fought game against their I-35 rival and see the Texas State Strutters put on their Holiday Spectacular. Truly, it was a great weekend to be a Bobcat.
We began with the volleyball team recording its first victory in the NCAA Tournament when they beat Rice, 3-1, in a first round match. The win came after the volleyball team won its first Sun Belt Conference regular season championship and its second Sun Belt Championship tournament since joining the league in 2013.
