NEW ORLEANS, La. — A year after having its season cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Texas State softball program returned to the softball diamond with a purpose.
Just days after winning a program-record 25 home games under head coach Ricci Woodard, Texas State (36-10, 17-6) broke another record as the Bobcats placed a record five players — Sara Vanderford (First Team), Jessica Mullins (First Team), Tara Oltmann (First Team), Meagan King (Second Team) and ArieAnn Bell (Second Team) — on the Sun Belt Conference's All-Conference Teams, the league announced Monday afternoon.
