SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State baseball team fell 9-1 to UTSA Tuesday night at Bobcat Ballpark.
The Bobcats (6-7) dropped to 1-4 in night games this season, while the Roadrunners improved to 7-5 overall.
Both teams plated runs in the opening frame before the visitors scored four in the second to take a 5-1 advantage. UTSA added one more in the fourth and an additional three insurance tallies in the seventh. TXST was unable to score after the first inning, while leaving 11 runners on base.
The Roadrunners outhit the Bobcats 15-5, and the home team was led by a 2-for-4 effort from junior .
