NEW ORLEANS – The Texas State women's outdoor track and field team along with five student-athletes combined for both the men and women were honored by the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) Academic Awards earlier this week.
The women's team earned all-academic status with a 3.01 GPA and is the fifth team overall to receive this accolade since Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Jody Stewart took over the program and second for the women's track and field team (2015).
For the individual honors, senior Kylah Smith, an Exercise and Sports Science major and now Texas State graduate was the lone representative on the women's side.
