TXST falls in SBC Championship Game, Set for WNIT

NEW ORLEANS – The Texas State women's basketball team lost 54-53 to Little Rock in the finals of the 2018 Sun Belt Conference Championship Sunday afternoon inside Lakefront Arena.

The Bobcats (23-9), who were the No. 2 seed in the event, were making their first appearance in the SBC finals. The top-seeded Trojans (23-9) won their fourth conference tournament title and first since 2015.

Senior guard , who was already named earlier this season as the SBC Player of the Year, was honored as the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. She scored 20 points, dished out eight assists and added four rebounds and three steals in the championship game.
