SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State women's basketball team (2-3) was toppled by the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles (3-3) on Saturday afternoon at Strahan Arena by a score of 81-64.
Sophomore forward Jayla Johnson played her best basketball games as a Bobcat despite the loss. She poured in a career-best 23 points (7-of-16 shooting) and tied a career-high with seven rebounds. Johnson converted all seven attempts at the free throw line. The game marks the fourth straight for Johnson in which she has netted at least 10 points.
Senior guard Toshua Leavitt extended a pair of streaks in the game by scoring 10 points on 2-of-6 shooting from behind the 3-point line.
