SAN MARCOS, Texas – The NCAA announced Wednesday that the Texas State women's golf and tennis teams have been recognized for academic excellence after scoring in the top 10 percent of their sports in the recent Academic Progress Rates (APR).
This marks the 11th consecutive year that the Texas State women's tennis program has been publicly recognized by the NCAA. It is the seventh straight year for the Bobcat women's golf team to be acknowledged.
The APR is an annual scorecard of academic achievement calculated for all Division I sports teams. The NCAA is publicly recognizing more than 1,300 program from 312 schools for their academic performance.
