SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State men's golf team inked two high school golfers during the 2017 early signing period. Joining the Bobcats next fall will be Colton Hilburn and Evan White.
Hilburn currently attends Merkel High School in Merkel, Texas. He was the 2016 and 2017 UIL Class 3A tournament runner-up. Hilburn is a three-time UIL 3A First Team honoree and has thrice been selected to the first team All-Region I-3A.
At the 2017 West Texas Junior Open in June, the soon to be Bobcat took home the title with a 36-hole score of 139.
