SAN MARCOS, Texas – Senior Dalton Shuffield was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the 10th round of the 2022 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft with the 294th overall pick on Monday.
Shuffield is the 75 MLB draft pick in Bobcat history and the first-ever chosen by the Twins. The senior shortstop's selection is the earliest for a TXST fielder since Jeff McVaney was drafted in the eighth round by the Detroit Tigers in 2012.
