SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State (8-8, 1-4 Sun Belt) fell at home 71-63 vs. Troy (6-10, 2-3 Sun Belt) on Monday night at Strahan Arena.
The turning point of the game was a massive 20-6 Trojan run that began at the end of the first half and bled into the second. After capturing a one-point 29-28 lead at the half thanks to a 3-pointer from junior guard Ty Gordon, Troy opened the final 20 minutes hot from long distance, shooting 5-of-6 to help build a 46-34 advantage which was the largest lead of the night.
