SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State was unable to overcome a pair of early turnovers that led to 14 Troy points as the Trojans went on for a 40-7 win Saturday afternoon at Bobcat Stadium.
How It Happened:
- Texas State (2-9, 0-7 Sun Belt) forced a Troy (9-2, 6-1 Sun Belt) punt on the game's opening drive. However, on the Bobcats' third play of the ensuing drive the Trojans' Jalen Rountree stepped in front of a Conner White pass for the game's first turnover.
- The Trojans set up at the Texas State 25 and eight plays later Jordan Chunn burst through the left side of the line and into the end zone from three yards out.
