SAN MARCOS, Texas — For the first time since the 2018 season, the Texas State softball program has been selected to a NCAA Regional, the organization announced Sunday evening.
The Bobcats (38-12) will join Texas, Oregon and St. Francis (Pa.) to make up the Austin Regional of the 2021 NCAA Division I Softball Championships.
"Yeah, it's a great regional. When you put Texas, Oregon, St. Francis (PA) and us together, you have put a good group of teams together," said Texas State softball head coach Ricci Woodard. "Every pitch is going to be a definite battle, in my opinion, so I think it'll be a great place to watch softball this weekend.
