CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Texas State volleyball team lost 3-1 (24-26, 25-22, 25-19, 25-17) to Western Michigan on the first day of the Xavier Tournament Friday afternoon at the Cintas Center.
The Bobcats dropped 1-2 on the season, while the Broncos improved to 2-2 in the first meeting between the two schools.
Sophomore Megan Porter led the maroon and gold with 12 kills. Senior Erin Hoppe passed around 31 assists, while freshman Brooke Johnson contributed 11 dimes. Sophomore Mattie Adams had 15 digs, while fellow classmates Micah Dinwiddie and Amy Pflughaupt added 13.
