Box Score SAN MARCOS - The Texas State football team overcame a sluggish beginning and scored 20 points in the final three quarters en route to a 20-11 victory over Houston Baptist at Bobcat Stadium on Saturday night.
The Bobcats trailed 9-0 before James Sherman kicked a 25-yard field goal and Damian Williams scored a touchdown on a four-yard run in the second quarter to take a 10-9 lead into the locker room at halftime. Texas State outscored the Huskies 10-2 in the second half to pull away with the victory.
