ABILENE, Texas — The Texas State men's and women's cross country teams both earned second-place finishes at the Naimadu Classic hosted by Abilene Christian on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The Bobcats were two points shy of winning the men's race. Abilene Christian won the team title with 31 points and Texas State finished in second place with 33 points. The Bobcats had four of the top eight individual runners in the race and finished 24 points ahead of third place UTSA.
Justin Botello led the Bobcats as he finished in second place with a time of 25:29.
