SAN MARCOS, Texas - When the Texas State football team donned full pads for the first time this fall, head coach Everett Withers did not expect there would be many variances from the two previous workouts in Texas State's fall camp.
Texas State practiced in Bobcat gear (shoulder pads and shorts) on Wednesday and Thursday night before practicing in full pads on Friday night.
"We put on shoulder pads the day before yesterday, so practice today shouldn't be that much different from those last two practices," Withers predicted prior to Friday night's practice. "We will work a little more on running inside and there will be a little more contact drills.
