Texas State's unofficially began its 2017 football season when head coach , sophomore linebacker and junior tackle traveled to New Orleans to participate in the Sun Belt Conference Annual Media Day activities on Sunday and Monday.
The Sun Belt Media Day activities began with the Sun Belt coaches, student athletes and media representatives attending a FAIS- DODO (pronounced Fay-doe-doe) party featuring zydeco music and Louisiana seafood at the Grand Oaks Mansion at Mardi Gras World on Sunday night.
Sun Belt Commissioner Karl Benson began Monday's Media Day addressing media members with a "State of the Conference" when Media Day activities began Monday at the Mercedes Benz Superdome.
