Texas State held its second football practice on Saturday night at Bobcat Stadium. The team practiced in shorts and helmets for the second straight day and will don shoulder pads for the first time on Sunday night.
The Bobcats open the 2018 season on Sept. 1 at Rutgers. The game kicks off at 11 a.m. and will be televised on the Big Ten Network. The contest against the Scarlet Knights mark the second time that Texas State will play a team from the Big Ten Conference. The Bobcats played at Illinois in 2014.
In addition to opening the season at Rutgers, Texas State plays the first of its six home games against Texas Southern on Sept.
