HUNTINGTON, W. Va. – Texas State only led for four minutes on Saturday at Marshall but it was the most pivotal four minutes as the Bobcats kept it close all game before coming back to beat the Thundering Herd, 64-60, at the Cam Henderson Center.
Texas State (18-7, 10-4 Sun Belt) trailed for the first six minutes of the fourth quarter until Ja'Kayla Bowie hit a wide-open three-pointer from the corner in front of the Texas State bench at the 3:40 mark to make it 55-all. Bowie's triple erased a lead for the Thundering Herd (15-10, 8-6 Sun Belt) that was held since early in the third quarter.
