SAN MARCOS, Texas – In a ceremonial moment for the next chapter of Texas State football, Texas State broke ground on the new Football Performance Center at Bobcat Stadium on Monday.
University President Kelly Damphousse, Director of Athletics Don Coryell and head football coach GJ Kinne were joined by supporters and dignitaries to kick off the $37 million facility renovation and addition to the existing complex. Donors to the project were also on hand, including Texas State University Heroes Johnny and Nathali Weisman, Bo and Darlene Trevillion, and Scott Emerson.
Pending Texas State University Board of Regents approval, the Football Performance Center will be named in honor of the Weisman family.
