SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State softball team (17-15, 6-4 Sun Belt) shutout the Georgia State Panthers (5-28, 3-7 Sun Belt), 5-0, at Bobcat Softball Stadium on Friday night behind a dominant effort in the circle from sophomore pitcher Meagan King.
KEY MOMENTS
- The Bobcats pounced on the Panthers for two quick runs in the bottom of the first inning. Junior catcher Haleigh Davis drove in the first run of the game on a sacrifice fly to left field. Senior outfielder Kennedy Cline followed with a single down the left field line to plate the second run.
