SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State University head softball coach Ricci Woodard announced the team's 2016 fall schedule Wednesday. The Bobcats will play nine contests during the fall slate, including six home games at the Bobcat Softball Stadium.
The schedule is highlighted by a visit to San Marcos by the National Pro Fastpitch's USSSA Florida Pride on Oct. 21 (6:30 p.m. start). The Pride finished the 2016 season as the NPF runner-up after posting a 40-15 overall record. The USSSA Florida Pride boast NPF Player of the Year Kelly Kretschman, a veteran outfielder who was a four-time All-American at the University of Alabama.
