SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State women's tennis will open its spring season with two matches in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Saturday. The Bobcats will face Southeast Missouri State at 9:00 a.m. and then will face No. 4-ranked Oklahoma State at 5:00 p.m. Both matches will be played at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
The Bobcats are coming off a successful spring 2024 season, finishing with an 11-8 overall record and a 5-5 mark in Sun Belt play. It was their winningest season since 2012 and their best conference record since joining the Sun Belt.
Texas State returns five players from last year's team—Kiana Graham, Callie Creath, Sofia Fortuno, Maria Lora, and Emily Niers—and has added three new players, including freshmen Chantajah Mills and Tadiwa Mauchi, as well as junior transfer Ireland Simme.
