SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State (1-1) tennis will have their third consecutive road match of the season against UIW (0-2) at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4.
The Bobcats won its first match of the season against Sam Houston 4-3 where Sofia Fortuno clinched the winning point. With a match against Houston the following day, Texas State fell 4-1 to the Cougars after dropping the doubles point. Kiana Graham earned the lone point of the match in singles, winning 6-4, 6-1 on the top court.
UIW has been shut out twice this season against SMU and Texas Tech, the Cardinals were scheduled to play a double header against Texas Permian Basin but the matches were canceled.
