SAN MARCOS, Texas – Former Texas State women's basketball standout Taeler Deer has announced that she signed a contract with Kouvottaret, a team based out of Kouvola, Finland, to continue her basketball career in the professional ranks.
Kouvottaret finished seventh in the 10-team league in the top Finnish professional league, Korisliiga, with a record of 9-18 during the 2017-18 campaign. The 2018-19 season will start at the end of September and run through the month of March.
"Taeler has solidified her place in the Texas State women's basketball history books," Texas State women's basketball head coach Zenarae Antoine said.
