STATESBORO, Ga. – For the second straight year the Texas State soccer team became the first program to officially clinch a spot in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament following a 3-0 victory at Georgia Southern on Sunday.
With the win, the Bobcats improve to 8-5-1 on the season and lead the Sun Belt standings by four points with a 6-0-1 record. The Eagles drop to 4-9-0 overall and 2-4-0 in conference play.
Nearly a minute into the contest, Kaylee Davis took a crack at goal that went wide left of frame. The continued pressure from TXST saw a breakthrough a few minutes later.
